About Matic Zorman

“”On my tombstone they will carve, “IT NEVER GOT WEIRD ENOUGH FOR ME.”

Matic Zorman was born in December 1986, in Kranj, Slovenia.

In 2007, his professional career in photojournalism began, by contributing to a variety of Slovenian newspapers and magazines on a daily basis.

His interest in global politics and conflict led him to the Gaza strip in 2010. Here he documented the rehabilitation of juvenile victims of war as well as the consequences of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He created a reportage piece entitled Images of the Silenced, illustrating the stories of everyday life in the refugee camps of Gaza. The piece was awarded the feature of the year at the Slovenian Press Photo festival in 2012.

He was invited in roster of Reportage by Getty Images Emerging talents in 2013.

Trying to develop his storytelling skills as documentary photographer he enthusiastically grabs every chance to do so.
Matic is continuing his studies at the Institute and Academy of multimedia. His short multimedia work has already received plaudits both in Slovenian and internationally.

Matic hopes to understand and produce positive and inspiring stories, especially from conflict areas.
