About 20.000 protesters gathered on 8th of February in Kongresni trg, Ljubljana to peacefully protest against all political figures in Slovenian government and political parties, which are filled with heavy corruption. In overall history of independent (a description very relative) Slovenia, this uprising was the 3rd one. First one took place on 21st of December 2012, second one on 11th of January 2013 and recent one on a Slovenia’s holiday marking a death of it’s most important poet France Prešeren.
Prime minister and a leader of a ruling party (SDS) Janez Janša, was called to step down from his position due to his exploitations of power and corruption. He ignorantly titled previous uprising and peaceful protest as an “uprising of zombies”.
